Illini Esports’ Rocket League team will be competing in the Maui Esports Invitational Quarterfinals on Thursday, November 19th live on ESPNU and the official Rocket League channel on Twitch. Over 70 collegiate Rocket League teams competed in the Maui Esports Invitational and Illinois advanced to the quarterfinals after cruising through Group C with four wins and no losses.
Illinois was one of the original 18 invited teams based on our university’s prior relationship with Maui and will join the likes of LSU, Alabama, Mizzou in the quarterfinals.
Illinois will face Indiana in the quarterfinals on ESPNU and twitch.tv/RocketLeague on 8pm ET on November 19th. If they win, they will then get the chance to play in the Semifinals on Friday, November 20th. The grand finals will air exclusively on ESPN2 on Sunday, November 22nd.
